To celebrate Dia de Los Muertos, an Altar was installed in the common area of Fine Arts studios in the School of Visual Arts, on November 1st. Participants were asked to create a small piece of Art as an ofrenda for their loved ones, and placed it on the Altar on November 2nd. Every participant has a different cultural background. The Art becomes a proxy for prayer.

Participant Artists include:

Anthony Reamer, Maho Donowaki, Tingleguts, Wheedong Kim, and Xayvier Haughton.

The installation was mainly motivated by Donald Trump after declaring November 1st as a “national day of remembrance for those killed by illegal aliens”.
